Getting Started #
Before starting, please make sure you have the following already set:
Domain name
Hosting server ready for WordPress
Once you have downloaded your theme files unzip it and find the
shemariah.zip
Installing your theme #
- Make sure you have both plugins installed: Elementor and Elementor Pro (if you don’t have you will need a new subscription – 1 site $59/year)
- Upload the shemariah.zip to WordPress and activate it
- Install the required plugins that appear on the screen
Demo Content #
In order to obtain the same look & feel as the demo website you need to set up the demo content as follows:
1) Install the demo content using the One-Click Demo import
This is the step that can take a bit more time, in general, a couple of minutes.
Install any additional plugins if you want. (in this tutorial I opted in to install “All In One SEO” plugin together, but that’s totally optional)
2) Import Elementor pages
Go to Elementor > Tools > Import/Export Kit tab > Import a Template Kit > Hit ‘Start Import’ green button
Select File “shemariah-elementor-kit” at Demo Content folder and upload it
3) Adjustments
- Check Home Page – Go to Settings > Reading > Set home as your static page
- Check menus, permalinks, etc
Customization #
Start customizing it for your brand or needs.
- Adjust the form at the bottom (footer) to collect emails for your email
- Logo, Header and Footer » Change at Elementor
- Fonts & Colors » Change at Elementor
